Jogger Pants: Comfort While Also Looking Good

Since the dawn of time, man has had a problem during the time of winter. On one end, he wants to go out of his house looking good. On the other hand, winter is a cold time, and comfort and warmth are paramount.
The two types of pants that don’t support these needs

Sweatpants

Sweatpants

Everyone has a pair of favorite sweatpants. They’re those pants that you can throw on to make it feel like you’re lying in bed, even when you’re walking around. All in all, they’re perfect.
So comfort is covered, but style is not. Normal sweatpants are big and baggy. Big and baggy has never been fashionable for men – that’s why it’s so important to make that your suits are tailored and your dress shirts grip your skin. In all honesty, any man (or woman, actually) wearing regular sweatpants out in public looks like he just doesn’t care that day.
Not only that, but they’re not practical. Have you ever put your keys, wallet, and phone into your sweatpants… just to sit down and have everything slide out like an avalanche? They’re comfortable, but they don’t look good, and they’re really not great for traveling.

Jeans/Chinos

Chino Pants

Jeans and chinos are basically the polar opposite of sweatpants.
It’s still entirely possible to wear a pair of ill-fitting pants and have them look bad, but by and large, you’re going to look more professional in a pair of pants than you are a pair of sweatpants.
Their problem is the opposite of sweatpants – while you look good, you’re not comfortable. No matter which way you put it, the material just doesn’t feel good on your skin. Girls now have leggings that look like jeans to cover both of these bases… and men have jogger pants.

Jogger pants: the solution

Traditional sweatpants fit you at the waist and then drop down into pant openings that could fit a giant. They don’t grip your leg at all. Joggers switch this up by tapering down, kind of like some styles of jeans.

The end result is a pair of pants that starts to fit at the waist, gets slightly baggy at the thighs, and then tapers down to an elastic leg opening at the bottom. This opening makes it so that you can actually wear sneakers and have them be noticed instead of having them be swallowed up like they would be by sweatpants.
Now… it’s not a perfect look. People are obviously going to notice that you’re not wearing jeans or chinos. But it’s the best solution for men right now. Because of the loose thigh opening, it doesn’t look like you’re wearing skinny jeans. But you do get the smaller ankle opening to make yourself look, you know… presentable.
Pick up a pair of joggers for this winter. They’ll never replace your favorite pair of sweatpants, and they aren’t as formal as a pair of jeans or chinos. But they’re the best option for those looking for a comfortable, good-looking solution in the middle. Check out the massive choice of original jogger pants on Publish‘s website.
